President
- James Tsimiklis & Rithik Dias (MBBS V): Hi! We’re James and Rithik, both in fifth year. We have always appreciated and loved being involved with Insight events and would love to serve as your 2026 Co-Presidents. Between us we’ve held various roles across many societies, giving us skill and knowledge in balancing budgets, liaising with sponsors, running events, and coordinating education opportunities. We’ve learned what works, what doesn’t, and how to communicate that clearly and kindly. Our aim is to honour two decades of student-led impact by continuing to keep Insight inspiring, organised, and genuinely student-driven. Where projects are purposeful, and funds raised translate into visible outcomes for communities. We’ll bring plenty of good vibes to make the year memorable, but also the good governance which a registered charity and incorporation association such as Insight requires. If that aligns with your vision, we would be honoured to carry Insight’s torch into 2026.

Treasurer
- Vanshika Arya (BDS IV): I’m interested in the Treasurer role because it allows me to apply my financial and organisational skills while contributing to Insight Global’s success. I’ve previously held roles involving budgeting, record-keeping, and team coordination, which strengthened my attention to detail and accountability. I’m confident my reliability, communication skills, and proactive approach will help manage finances effectively and support the team’s goals.
Secretary
- Dorisa Nasserian (BDS IV): After serving as Crossing Borders Officer for Insight in 2024, I’ve loved being part of a team that sparks conversations and action around global health. I’m excited by the Secretary role because it combines everything I enjoy: organisation, collaboration, and helping people stay connected and inspired. Through my roles as Treasurer of AURHA (2024) and Events Executive and Vice President of AUDSS (2024–2025), I’ve developed strong skills in communication, event coordination, and keeping projects running smoothly behind the scenes. I take pride in being reliable and detail-oriented, but also in creating an encouraging environment where others can thrive. I’d love to continue contributing to Insight’s growth by helping the team stay organised, creative, and motivated to make global health engagement accessible for everyone.
Events Officer
- Manasi Benkal, Jesslyn James ,Shreya Bala, Rohan Kumar (BMS I): We would love to be part of Global Insight Health Group as it brings together our shared passion for understanding healthcare beyond borders and promoting equity in access to care. Coming from Singapore, New Zealand, India, and rural Victoria, we’ve each seen how healthcare experiences can vary widely between countries. These experiences have made us passionate about advocating for equal healthcare access, and even exploring how different health systems can learn from each other to improve care worldwide. In terms of our experience, we’ve each developed skills that would make us well-suited for the Event Officer role. Rohan: As part of my high school’s formal planning committee, I coordinated the aesthetics and logistics of large events and worked with students across different year levels and faculties. Jesslyn: I was Secretary of my school’s student council, where I organised events and worked with guest speakers. Manasi: I was part of my school’s marketing team and helped organise art events in Adelaide City. Shreya: I have experience leading an executive team and organising club-wide events, liaising with staff and speakers.

Indigenous Officer
- Arpita Page (BMS II): I am interested in the Indigenous Officer role as it reflects my passion for strengthening cultural understanding and improving health outcomes in Indigenous communities. Earlier this year, I travelled to the APY Lands, where I completed cultural training coordinated by Insight and gained firsthand experience in remote healthcare delivery. The trip deepened my appreciation for the importance of culturally safe practice and the value of respectful, community-centred engagement. I also participated in a “Day in the Life of a Rural GP” trip to Wallaroo with AURHA, which reinforced my enthusiasm for rural and Indigenous health. These experiences have motivated me to continue supporting student learning in this space. Through my background in community advocacy, leadership, and collaboration, I hope to contribute meaningfully to Insight’s outreach trips and Indigenous Cultural Communications Workshop, inspiring others to engage with Indigenous health in an informed and compassionate way.
Publications Officer
- Valerie Yung (BDS IV): My experience includes being the Publications Executive (2024) and Publications General Committee (2023) for the Adelaide University Dental Students Society (AUDSS). This included making Instagram posts and Tiktok’s that amassed over 50,000 views over all our social media platforms. I was also on the Insight Dental Subcommittee in BDS I, and have since then attended every single ‘Amazing Raise’. I have also attended the Insight Quiz Nights and Birthing Kit Workshops.
